(The short version) This is your NE Portland community art space. Here you'll find private studio space for local creatives and classes for students of all ages looking to improve their skills or try something new in a fun and supportive atmosphere. In a time of hunger for personal interaction, Cully Community Arts brings neighbors together to inspire each other, share their skills, and make fabulous things.

Here, creativity is a way of life and there's no wrong way to do it. Whether you're a professional maker looking to grow your business, a casual creative looking for friends to share inspiration with, or a parent looking for a way to use the time between breakfast and nap, there's a place for you in our community.

Gas is expensive and parking is limited. You can park in the driveway, but you might get blocked in or be asked to move. Please consider walking, biking, or taking public transit to the studio. We're right on bus line #75.

We love working with your kids, but we are not a childcare provider, licensed or otherwise. All children under the age of 12 must be supervised by an adult at all times. We do hope to be able to have classes just for kids in the future.

It's our goal to make art education available to anyone who wants it. If our classes are out of your price range, you can request a scholarship. We also offer bulk discounts on some classes.

If you need accommodations, please ask. We're in an old house with limited possibilities for improvement, so we don't have a ramp, sidewalk, or paved driveway, and there are stairs to the front porch. We're happy to help you to and from your car and can host some activities outdoors.

Updates:

To allow flexibility for your fun summer plans, all summer term courses have been split into two parts and open studio time is back in rotation. We might also be able to offer drop-in spots as space allows. Please be aware, this will impact the firing schedule in ceramics classes.

Starting this summer, we'll have a dark room available for hourly rental! More details soon!
